Kimberly M. Webb is a visual artist who explores the possibilities of photography, sculpture, and social practice. Her work investigates ecology, social and environmental justice, cultural constructs, and absurdity. She is passionate about the intersections of environment, creativity, and wellness.

In addition to her work as a fine artist, she has been working as a photographer for over 20 years. Her love for environments has steered her into specializing in partnering with other creatives in interior design and architecture photography. She also loves capturing relationships and has photographed over 45 weddings with a photojournalist and fine art style.

In September 2025, Webb traveled the world for 7 months as a nomadic artist. Her mission has been creative caretaking, environmental stewardship, and expanding her creative practice, while contributing photography and labor to projects focused on permaculture, rewilding, and living close to the Earth. In May 2026, she was published in the New Zealand Magazine, “On the Land”.

Webb’s latest body of work and solo exhibition, “Compost/Cosmos (re-e)merging particles”, is an exploration on life, death, consciousness, and connection, made from her compost in collaboration with the cosmos. The work is comprised of unique cyanotype prints of her compost on natural fiber paper (some dyed with tea), adhered to pieces of local fallen trees. The mounted cyanotypes are exhibited as an installation alongside her sculptures made out of Reishi mushrooms, one composting her old works. 25% of sales were donated to organizations fighting for social and environmental justice.

Webb earned her BFA from the Ohio State University (2006) with a concentration in fine art photography and a minor in contemporary art history and an MFA from Columbus College of Art & Design (2014) with a focus on sculpture and social practice. Webb is the former Manager of Fresh A.I.R. (Artists in Recovery) Gallery and Chop Chop Gallery, and Director of the Ohio Art League. She has supported the production of exhibitions and programming at the Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD), and independently with the city of Columbus, Capital Crossroads SID, COTA, and with various other artists and independent spaces. She has received grants from the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC), CCAD, and Ohio Arts Council (OAC). In 2013, she attended Mildred's Lane (Narrowsburg, NY) with a full fellowship from CCAD. In 2015, Webb was awarded a Can Serrat Artist Residency (El Bruc, Spain), supported partly by Can Serrat and GCAC. Webb has taught camera obscura at the Wexner Center for the Arts; sculpture, social practice, and community art education at Columbus College of Art & Design; and nature-focused photography, alternative process photography, and curatorial studies with an emphasis on supporting artists’ mental health at Athens Photographic Project.
